IAIM Mission Statement
The Purpose of the International Association of Infant Massage is to Promote nurturing touch and communication through training, education and research so that parents, caregivers and children are loved, valued and respected throughout the world community.
The International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) was founded by Vimala McClure in 1976. It incorporates principles of Indian, and Swedish Massage along with principles of Reflexology and Yoga.
The Programme is 5 weeks long and you learn to massage a different part of the body every week. The programme also encourages communication between the Parent and their baby and help parents to listen to and respond to their baby's needs. There is also time within the session for parents to talk to each other so can be a great place to meet new friends and share ideas.
